The Ocracoke Puzzle. This is one of my most favorite places. This lovely barrier island is off the coast of North Carolina. It can be a two hour ferry ride, depending on which ferry you take. I took the photos for this print during one of my visits. This piece has graphically embossed letters throughout that imparts a message to the viewer. The lettering is purposefully had to read. One has to concentrate.

The original Ocarcoke Puzzle was displayed in one of the Inns. The piece was on loan. When the Inn closed, a gentleman took the piece and refuses to return it. What a nice guy! He once offered to sell it to me. Can you imagine?
